If the gravity drive is bending space towards the craft, then isn't the craft moving from one point in space to another, without travelling through the intervening points? How would time be distorted by an instantaneous jump from one location to another, kind of like teleporting?
I know that time dilates when objects travel through space at high speed. However, in this case, nothing is travelling through space, it's bypassing the intervening space to cross from one point to another.
Anyway, not looking for arguments, or disputing you - just my thoughts. |
I agree with your thoughts. I don't think time would be distorted. Time, anyway, is supposedly only a local (our solar system) phenomema. Beyond our solar system no current and accepted mainstream physics applies.

Susan...
You need to be careful when you make blanket statements, such as using the collective term 'we'.
What you probably should type is that 'you' don't know there are aliens visiting Earth.
Other people DO know that aliens are here, on Earth. Don't presume that you can speak for everyone with your collective 'we' statement, as you're ignoring the people who DO know that aliens are here and have been for a while.
In short - speak for yourself, not for others. That way, you'll be denying your own ignorance and not someone else's. |

No need to apologise. You weren't being rude, you were speaking your mind.
I just wanted to point out that you should only speak for yourself - not for everyone else.
