Since it's for whatever.....That guy from ATS isn't "my cup of tea"
Fixed it
(Moderator Edit: LOL! Somehow it seems rather tame now, almost too tame. comparatively. You didn't have to change it to the exact same thing. Surely you had another way of saying how you felt about it? I feel bad now. lol )

Well now, I don't think that's such a nice thing to say. Perhaps you could say, he's not your cup of tea or something. You don't want to start world war 3 on this free forum. lol

Aye, he'll never come here anyway.

I would sincerely appreciate no adverse comments about other forums. We all know what happened but we don't know why. I would prefer that we do not stoop to the level of performance of other forums.
I know how many of you feel about other forums and I have similar feelings. But to avoid serious complications for many of our friends that still visit other forums I think it would be best to reserve comment.
Thanks for you understanding.

Ah, yeah...I get it. I just figured it didn't matter right now since this place is just starting and it's small.

This brings up a rather interesting scenario....
Do we want to publicize to everyone the existance of this forum or keep
it on the QT?
If this was put to a vote, I would choose not to share (for the time being).
At least not till a suitable timeline (down the way) could be achieved of the forum
itself evolving.
We already have experienced a number of 'negative' instances at 'other' places.
Do we really want to encourage the same to infilterate here?
I prefer a diplomatic and passive place for my research, conjecture and debates.
Just throwing in my 2 cents... but I will adhere to whatever is decided.

I'm not sayng a word about this forum to anyone. Keeping it out of the eyes of certain people as long as possible is a good thing if you ask me. I'm just happy to see some familiar faces on this forum. I will go back to catching up on all the threads that have started now. TTYL

it's amazing how many people are worried about naysayers. if'n we get a rude one, i'm real handy on the admin functions. there's neat little toys in the control panel, like ban and spy and steal soul, err, just kidding on the last one.

Well vigilance is a good thing and sure.. there are neat toys a mod or admin has, but if the 'banned' person uses a rotateing IP app (or a php hack app), he/she can just as easily rejoin under a differant name and continue on with whatever negative agenda his camp chooses. And as my associate friend in the security business would say... "Theres no such thing as online security"...
I use a differant IP (for anonymity) myself because I know what can be exploited in an area that keeps server logs...
Again.. my 2 cents for what ever it's worth...

Well the really groovy thing about admin control is the edit feature. The whole post ends up saying happy happy joy joy stuff, ya know? Praises the idea, makes obesiance to the idea, tosses flowers at the feet of the idea ...
sorry, i know what you mean.

Its all about "noise" level LOL Hard to do serious research with all the racket. Why do you think they have the "QUIET" signs at libraries? As to the souls... I thought they already sold em
I have just downloaded all the pages of our threads at ATS so I can clip relevant posts to add to here {those that are ours} save redoing it all, and it will be good to review them all and actually discuss the content and hopefully have a new audience to participate.

Well..I wasn't being very serious with my comment. I'm just being playful because this place is new. I'll edit it if it bothers everyone.

UF,
You could perhaps change the word "douche-bag" to something more appropriate like oh, "not my cup of tea" maybe? i know they call each other worse things but on here, it might be perceived in a more negative light.

Oh, I know. Even if I know I was kidding, I can see it as being percieved as an attack

Yes, yes it is. You've heard of music awards before but have you ever seen them give out an animated one? Huh? Well? NO! They keep all the best awards for themselves, where they stash them in their "Awards we could've given away but didn't cause we're greedy!" gallery.

Interesting concept. I've never heard of that one before.

Well you just know that they can animate those things! But they don't. Would cost too much money and then, their shareholders might not be able to have that extra dry, shaken but not stirred, martini in the bahamas. !!!!!

Hahahaha...martinis are weak!
On a different topic....does anyone here actually care that it's a new year? It doesn't really effect me, except that I wish I had done more with this year. Oh well, I guess. I'll be 16 in 28 days...one more step to being dead.

Actually, it's not one more step to being dead. It's one giant leap into the future.

Dead is highly over rated... been there a few times... just kinda a holding pattern till the next life

Cool fireworks though...gotta love Vegas!!! 9 casinos and the tower all synched to 007 music

"Whatever..." that is exactly how I put it regarding a strange fiasco on the BUT forum in an email to a couple of colleagues.
BTW, did you know if you shift HAL one letter forwards you get IBM? Man, how clueless is that? I just remembered it when I watched "2001: A Space Odyssey" on new year's eve w/ my daughter. Good medicine is what that is!

Getting older isn't what you think, it is you getting closer to finding out the truth. Look at is this way and you should smile.

I'm afraid things are so hectic, I haven't thought about smiling in a long time.
Hopefully that changes soon.

UF, Relax. You are on the very tip of the spear of knowledge. There are many people that know some of this material, but not many that know All of it. The reason is that: secret knowledge is comparmentalized; and those with compartmentalized clearances get to know a little tiny segment of the stuff you are reading hear, but not all of it.
For instance a few may know that there is a mining operation on Copernicus but they have no knowledge of the civilization on the farside.
A few may know we have a base on the moon but not an entire mining operation.
A few know of all the underground secret bases we (the U.S.) has around the world, but they don't know anything about the moon bases.
A few know about the amzzing aircraft, or actually 'spaceplanes' operating by Norad, but they don't know anything about the buildings in Kepler. or anything about the moon.
This information is not for CNN or CBS News for the very reason you are experiencing. It would be disorienting.
This information is for those of us who are intensly if not rabidly interested in the truth, wherever that may lead.
This is for those with compartmentalized clearances who know 'something fishy is going on' but can't get to the truth because of where they are in the compartmentalized order of pecking. The truths they read on this forum will put everything together.
If you just stumbled onto this information without any background you are certainly going to feel lost.
But let me offer this: there is a reason you came upon this information. It was not chance.
There is a reason that Zorgon and Undo and all of the other contributors got interested.
Unfortunately, I do not know what that reason is.
I do know this: late at night I look up at the moon from just outside my den door, and wonder: "Who goes there?"
I feel privileged to know the stuff I know, much of which is posted in this forum.

Well, I've been interested in almost any and all information I can get on anything concerning what's going on with the universe. I'm really past the whole being "overwhelmed" part. It's just that this opens up a whole new door for me, really. Often times, the internet is highly decieving when it comes to things like this, but this is a place where the truth can finally come together. I am one out of 12 members here, last I checked. I certainly feel privileged to be here, and see what everyone has to offer. I've only been onto things of this sort since last summer, so it's expected that I wouldn't know very much at all, I just never realized how vast all of the information is until recently.

lol i'm at the bottom of the pecking order as the dependent of a military member.
typical conversation with hubby:
Me: "Sooo, what did you do today?"
Him" "Not much."
Me: "Really? Isn't that what you did yesterday?"
Him: Hahaha, pretty much.
Me: So what do they give you all those pretty medals, decorations and awards for?
Him: Ha! I have so many on my uniform now, it's almost embarrassing.
Me: My point, exactly. (at this piont i start humming the tune to Mission Impossible)
(wiggling eyebrows) Me: True Lies, eh?
Him: lol no, seriously, I have the most boring job.
Me: What level was your clearance again?
Him: (he blushes) I'm not kidding. All I do is push papers around.
Me: Riiiight.
