i was told the eclipse started at 8:30 eastern time by a friend

i went to a different friends house at 8:40 and saw the start of the eclipse, just a tiny bit of the moon looked dark

when i left my friends house at 10:10 i was walking home and noticed that  there was a northern lights looking like glow in the sky, not as bright as the photos you can see on the net, or if you have ever been to really really northern canada, but it was clearly there

i tried to take a picture with my cell phone a few times, and since the first time i tried it was "no memory delete files" from my phone basically the battery on the piece of shit is toast now (i have had it for 5 monthes lol) so as i am trying to delete photos my battery is dying and the phone is running all slow

i tried again at home as i could still see it

by the time i was able to get my phone hooked up to the charger near enough so i could stick it out my window to try and get a pic it was not there anymore

and hasn't been for a while

but it wasn't the same height as the moon, it was lower in the sky like northern lights and i dunno it just looked like nothern lights just not as bright

i was wondering if any of you have telescopes and are looking at the moon tonight? or if any of you saw these nothern lights looking glow in the sky?

i am trying to be as clear as i can be about the lights, the way they were sitting low in the sky they looked like northern lights just not as bright as what you will see if you google search the lights or have been far up north, but they were like a dim nothern lights, and i use the word glow because they kind of glow in the sky more than they are lights i guess

(probably the light polution from the city i would guess is why they aren't brighter?)
