Just in case any of you happen to see The Good Shepherd which attempts to glorify a character loosly based of James Jesus Angleton, former head of CIA's Foreign Counter Intelligence, please know that Angleton was, in fact, a double agent both for Israel and Russia. While the CIA was not directly responsible for JFK's murder, Mossad was, and their agent/mole in place (Angleton) helped grease the skids on the assassination which was ordered by David Ben Gurion because of JFK's insistence of inspecting Dimona (Israels atom bomb factory). Colby fired Angleton in 1974 and Mossad killed Colby in 1996.

+1 Angleton was indeed a traitor and spied against America for the Israelis and Russians. He spent all his time looking for double agents and traitors when he was one. The proverbially fox in the hen house.
As for the movie itself, many people with my grandfather included (former OSS), were very disappointed by the film. Being a Cold War buff myself, the Good Shepard got the Hollywood treatment. But then again, it was just a movie.
